Q Why should I get a service contract?
A When you pay for service as you go, you never know when a big, expensive bill will come. Customers who need only a tune-up one year can have three or four service calls the next. Having a service plan eliminates these ups and downs and allows you to rest easy, knowing things are being tended to. It also increases the likelihood that small problems will be taken care of before they become big ones...
Q What about the cost?
A Every system should be tuned up once a year; (it saves you up to 10% on your oil bills and prevents other problems from developing). Our normal tune-up costs $89, plus parts.
Now consider what happens if your system needs repair. Including labor, a typical burner motor costs over $150. A new blower motor can go for twice that amount. A triple aquastat can cost more than $400. And if any repairs are done after normal business hours, the labor costs climb to time and a half.
Our service plans cover all of this and much more. For less than the price of one cup of coffee a day, you can eliminate worrying about virtually anything that can go wrong with your heating system.
Q Which contract is better for me?
A It depends on the level of protection you're comfortable with. Our Value Plan covers the most common repairs that face oil customers and includes a professional tune-up. Our Maximum Protection Plan goes a few steps further and handles repairs that are less frequent but extremely costly. Both plans include our Loyalty Credits.
Q What are "Loyalty Credits?"
A Each year you buy a service plan, you earn $50 toward the replacement of furnaces or boilers, burners, etc. You can accumulate up to $500 in credits. It's our way of rewarding you for your loyalty. See the agreement for details or click here. And don't hesitate to call us at (203) 869-5869 if you have any questions.
Q Is all the service done by your own people?
A Yes. We maintain a full-time staff of highly-trained technicians who continually attend courses to stay up to date with the latest technology. We also have more service technicians per customer than any company in the area. When you need help we can come quickly, and we won't leave your job unfinished to rush to someone else.
Q Will I be charged for labor on parts not covered by the service contract?
A Yes, (although there's almost nothing the Maximum Protection Plan doesn't cover).
Q There are parts on these contracts which my system doesn't have. Am I paying for them?
A No. You're only paying for the parts you have. For example, a furnace system has a blower that sends hot air through the vents, while a boiler has a circulator that sends hot water through pipes. The price of the contract takes this into account.
Q Can I break up the contract payments?
A Yes. You can pay for it on our 10-month Budget Plan. We also accept Visa or MasterCard for either plan.
Q What should I do if I have more than one burner, heating unit ,or any other special situation?
A We offer special discounted coverage for your additional units.
Q What about oil tanks?
A If you're concerned about the remote possibility of a leak, please call us to discuss your options at (203) 869-5869. Please also visit our Tank Insurance page.
Q How do I get started?
A Simply call us at (203) 869-5869 or complete the form on our Contact Us page. In the Questions or Comments box simply tell us that you are interested in a service plan. A representative will contact you within two business days.
Please don't wait until you have a problem and face a big bill. Take care of this now, and rest easy all year long.
